DEFIANCE is an 18+ fanzine focused on BnHA characters Kirishima Eijirou and Bakugou Katsuki in AUs that see either or both of them in alternative or counterculture roles.Alternative and counterculture are used to refer to any culture or trend that exists outside or on the fringes of mainstream or popular culture, usually under the domain of one or more subcultures.—Alt AU Examples:

★ ENTHUSIASTIC YES ★The main zine, DEFIANCE, welcomes all SFW and mainstream NSFW content where all participants are portrayed as 18+, including boudoir, solo, and light kink.This includes general intimacy, suggestive/implied sexuality, all the way to explicit sexual content.—★ SUPPLEMENTAL ONLY ★Harder kinks and content where participants are canon age and up (16+) will be allowed in DEVIANCE, our add-on PDF.Some examples of such kinks/content include but are not limited to: Dub-Con, CNC, Hardcore BDSM, Heavy Substance Use, Teratophilia/Monsterfucking, Watersports, and Weapon Play.—★ HARD NO ★The current list of prohibited content includes - MCD, Underage (15 and younger), Vore, Gore, Scat, Puke, Rape/Non-Con, and Self-Harm.This list is not extensive, and some pitches will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis. However, every piece will be properly tagged in our zine's Table of Contents.

Is this an 18+ zine?
Yes, DEFIANCE will be a NSFW project requiring all applicants to be 18 years or older.—Is this project For-Profit or For-Charity?
This will be a For-Profit zine. All proceeds will go towards production and supporting our contributing artists and writers.—What does "Alternative" mean?
When we use the terms alternative and counterculture, we are referring to any culture or trend that exists outside or on the fringes of mainstream or popular culture, usually under the domain of one or more subcultures.—What are some examples of "Alternative" AUs?
Any Alternate Universe that sees either Bakugou or Kirishima participating in a culture/lifestyle that goes against the mainstream would be considered!Here are some examples of what we mean, though this list is far from extensive: apocalypse, bdsm, cyberpunk, delinquents, dystopian, fugitive, gangster, goth, greaser, mercenary, occult, outlaw, pirate, punk, ronin, sex workers, street fashion, tattooed, vigilante, etc ...—Are ships outside of KrBk/BkKr allowed?
No, this will be a strictly KrBk/BkKr-centric zine. However, background relationships between other characters are allowed so long as they are not the sole focus.
Additionally, poly ships involving KrBk/BkKr will be allowed on a case-by-case basis.—Do application samples need to include KrBk/BkKr?
For both writers and artists, it is required to include at least one sample with either Kirishima or Bakugou. These samples do not need to be ship-centric.—How will contributors be compensated for this project?
Contributors are guaranteed a free digital PDF copy of the zine and any digital merch. It is our goal to additionally compensate all contributors with full physical bundles if we reach our pre-order targets, and any remaining funds after all bundles have been shipped will be distributed evenly among mods and contributors.—Are there any content-restrictions in the zine?
The current list of prohibited content includes - MCD, Underage, Vore, Gore, Scat, Puke, Rape/Non-Con, and Self-Harm.Additional breakdowns of content arrangement can be found in our ABOUT section.

Applications

GENERAL GUIDELINES✩ All applicants must be at least 18 years old.★ Applicants may submit both SFW and NSFW content so long as it is properly tagged.✩ Applicants who submit inaccessible links or fail to provide either a Portfolio OR 3 Samples will not be considered for this zine.★ Applicants can submit for more than one position, but please keep in mind that you will only be selected for one role. If you have a preference, you may list it in your application under the "Notes / Comments" section before submitting.

Writers will be expected to create at least one 2.5k - 3k ficPage Artists will be expected to create at least one single-page illustration, including a backgroundMerch Artists will be expected to create 2 to 4 pieces of merch from the list of items on the application.

All applying must be 18 or older at the time applications open (December 5). Submitting an application is verifying you are over 18. Moderators will remove anyone from applications or the project there after if they are not 18 and over.Content/merch is purchased at your own discretion. By purchasing any content/merch provided you are verifying you are over 18 and are not purchasing on behalf of minors. DEFIANCE Moderators will not be held responsible for the consumption of any purchased or publicly available content/merch by minors.DEFIANCE Moderators will endeavor to include appropriate tags and warnings throughout the project and in final content. However, we will not be libel for any content that is bought and/or consumed that may be considered inappropriate or triggering by consumers.
